‘The Bathtub’ Released

BathTub BigAfter going through the editing process, my latest horror novella, ‘The Bathtub’ is now available.  The story is one of my rare ventures into pure splatter, being about a woman who is trapped in a bathroom with a couple of colleagues.

I’m grateful to Harrison at Grinning Skull Press for taking on the story and for a cover which brilliantly captures the story’s spirit.  The longer term plan is for ‘The Bathtub’ to appear in an anthology of other Grinning Skull Press novellas.

This is my sixth published novelette or stand alone short story.

Here’s the buy link.

Here’s the blurb:

Elizabeth had always fantasized about two of her handsome co-workers, but she knew better than to start anything while she worked side by side with them. Now that she's about to leave the bank for a new job, her wildest, naughtiest fantasies are about to become a reality. But a home invasion wasn't part of what the threesome had planned, and now her wildest dreams are about to become her worst nightmare—in more ways than one.

Football Fantasy

After discussion with Wild Rose Press my erotic story, ‘The Team Bath’ has been given a much better title: ‘Football Fantasy’.

Wild Rose Press have also improved my draft tagline and blurb, which are now officially these:

If the team wins, the prize will be hers...

Pretty temp Kerry-Jane enjoys working part-time in the Football Club’s ticket office. She’s met—and flirted with—some of the team, and her fantasy is to join them in their bath. One sexy star player has caught her eye, and when he jokingly invites her to join them for a steamy after-game bath, she blurts out a challenge. If they win the championship, she’ll accept his invitation. It’ll never happen, though. The team is too far behind. But unlikely events conspire to hand Poldenham the league win, and Kerry-Jane has to decide if she’s brave enough to claim her ultimate fantasy.

I don’t have a release date yet, but the first round of edits have arrived and I’ve also filled in the book cover form, so it’s all moving.

Thank you again to Wild Rose Press for taking the story on, and to Dianne, my editor, for keeping me in touch with the process.

Sunshine and Ice Cream

I’m delighted to announce another acceptance!

Cobblestone Press will publish ‘Sunshine and Ice Cream’, an erotic short.  It stars Kerry-Jane, my favourite PhD student, and tells what happens when she sunbathes in the local park.

I was unhappy with my first draft – I knew it was flawed but couldn’t work out why.  I’m grateful to Carole for reading over the story and pointing out where it needed changes.

The Wild Rose Press

So, contracts have been exchanged, and I’m delighted to announce that Wild Rose Press will be taking on ‘The Team Bath’.

The story is a short about Kerry-Jane, my favourite PhD student, and her adventure with a football team’s bath after she makes a raunchy agreement with terms she’s not expecting to be met…

Rebel ePublishers

Sadly, Rebel ePublishers has decided to close it’s doors.  See the statement on the publisher’s website for more information and reasons.

All three of my books listed will revert to me; the publisher has been good enough to return all rights in proper fashion.

This impacts on three of my books:

These will come down from Amazon and elsewhere in due course.  In fact, electronic copies have already been removed from Amazon.  They may well see the light of day again as self-published, or I may try them with a different publisher.  I don’t know at the moment.

It’s a real shame because Rebel was a publisher I enjoyed working with, and I’d like to thank Jayne and EJ for having me.Footholder SmallDoor Into War SmallFaerie Small

‘The Team Bath’

I’m delighted to announce an acceptance!

‘The Team Bath’ is an erotic short featuring Kerry-Jane, my favourite PhD student.  In this tale Kerry-Jane confidently makes a raunchy agreement with terms she’s not expecting to be met…

As usual I’ll note name the publisher until contracts are exchanged, just in case something goes wrong.  However, it’s a house I’m delighted to be working with.

‘The Faerie Handmaiden of Annwyn’ Released

Faerie BigAt last, after years planning, writing, and editing, ‘The Faerie Handmaiden of Annwyn’ is released.  As a reminder, it’s a novel based around a traditional north Welsh story of a man who married a Tylwyth Teg (Welsh for fairy) and the trials their love goes through.  I’ve set it against the backdrop of King Maelgwn, a colourful sixth century ruler figure who has always fascinated me.

Here’s some more background.

Buy link.

As always, this wouldn’t have got into print without help and advice from loads of people:  particularly Jayne at Rebel ePublishers for taking the book on and then editing it, and those who commented on early drafts, especially Phil and Carole.

Blurb:

Dancing with her friends in the mortal realm, Penni, the fairest Tylwyth Teg, has no idea of what she will unleash by disobeying the law. A mortal attacks the handmaidens and blocks Penni’s return to Annwyn.
Banished for breaking the law, Penni is forced to take refuge with Pelling, a mortal, and his family. Penni and Pelling find love and marry, despite his brother’s hatred of the fairy folk. He wants to sell her – Tylwyth Teg slaves fetch a princely price, a great temptation for a poor farmer. The couple moves to the capital of sixth century Wales where King Maelgwn rules. Subjected to prejudice and cruelty, they are trapped in the bitter struggle between Christianity and the Old Ways of paganism. Can their love surmount the differences in cultures and religion?
Andrew Richardson, author of The Footholder's Tale and The Door into War, brings to life the classic legends of the Tylwyth Teg and King Maelgwn, weaving the mystical beliefs of the period with the timeless myths.
